What we know so far
Public reporting from 2023 documented concerns involving cluster-box requirements, accessibility, inconsistent delivery, and uncertainty over responsibility for installing centralized mailbox units. Savannah Lakes Village’s website currently directs prospective residents to ask about what it describes as an ongoing mail-delivery issue.
We have also heard that some affected residents may have been directed to obtain post office boxes when residential delivery was unavailable. McCormick First has not yet independently reviewed the supporting documentation or determined whether affected residents were eligible for free USPS Group E post office box service.
This initiative is currently in the information-gathering stage. McCormick First expects to review additional resident documentation, identify affected streets, and research the applicable USPS policies before publishing more detailed findings or recommendations.
